how fast a year goes!

We have had the pleasure of spending a year photographing the Silvers family. They have just completed our Beginnings Sessions which gives 5 sessions from maternity to a Reece's 1st year. He is definitely one of the easiest kids to photograph! His smile is contagious and his sweet voice gets me all choked up. While they were here to view their images he took some of his 1st steps - could my job get any better?!? I showed a few of his images in an earlier post about these 1st year shoots, so I'll show off a different fav from each session. Thank you Amy & Tim for allowing us to be part of such an amazing time in Reece's life, I can't wait to see what's in store for him and your family!

being 4 rocks!

Okay so I may be a little biased, but I love photographing 4 year olds! I'm sure it's directly related to the fact that our little Breeza is 4 (going on 15!) It's just such a fun and carefree age. They are old enough to engage in fun conversations, but young enough to not be self conscious about being silly with us. We photographed a couple of 4 year olds last week, here are a few of our favs.

2010 Seniors

Just as the 09 seniors are on their way out, we are busy as bees photographing the seniors of the 2010 class. When I started DRAKEphoto, I didn't really think I had much interest in senior photography, but after just a few last year, I realized I was seriously mistaken! Like lots of other studios, we are working hard on our senior advertising this time of year, photographing "ambassadors" to get the word out.

Congratulations 09 Seniors

Congratulations class of 09! We are honored to have photographed each of you during this special time in your lives! I thought the East Peoria High School class motto was perfect:
"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. Congratulations! Today is your day. You're off to Great Places! You're off and away!" -Dr Seuss

Most of our seniors get an album with lots of images from their senior session. Kate, who I blogged about several weeks ago, included lots of Dr. Seuss quotes into hers. It's definitely one of my favorites and I hope you check it out:
